Welcome to Greg Smith Photo. This web site was created to share a variety of images that I have taken over the years. One of the highlights that I am often asked about is a trip that I took in 2007, having the opportunity to travel to Antarctica. I was awed by a landscape so untouched by human hands and yet teeming with life, I was and still am, mesmerized by the power of creation. It was the photographs taken on this trip that seemed to open up to me what just one photograph can evoke.

Since then, I have looked at photography in general in a totally different way, and truly appreciate those taken by other photographers and the simple stories each can tell. I hope that as you look at these, you will get at least a small portion of that same enjoyment.

While traveling once when my youngest daughter was very little, she fearfully looked around at her unfamiliar surroundings and said "It's a really big world out there", I have found that she was right, and it is not only big it is amazing.
